Preble County Room's Scan Day

Bring your photos and documents to be digitized and add to our local history archives.  Digitized copies will be saved to a flash drive (available for sale at the PC Room, or bring your own) for you to take home, along with your original documents and photos.  We will be available to digitize all day (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Intro to Genealogy

Learn how to start your family tree.  Topics to be covered: genealogy basics, tips for more efficient research, forms available for recording information, available sources, databases, and organizations to further your research. 

Night Owl Prowl

Join the researchers at the Preble County Room at 450 S. Barron St. in Eaton to take the next step in your genealogy search. Whether you're just getting started on your family tree or looking for a few more branches, research assistance will be available at the Night Owl Prowl, the Preble County Room's genealogy lock-in from 5-10 p.m. on Saturday, October 7.

Bible Records Scan Day

The Commodore Preble Chapter, NSDAR and the Preble County Room of the Preble County District Library will be hosting a Bible Records Scan Day on Saturday, September 2 from 9:00-4:00 at the Preble County Room, 450 S. Barron St. in Eaton.

Preble County Room Scan Day

Do you have documents or pictures you would like digitized to preserve or share them? The Preble County Room is offering an all-day Scan Day to digitize documents and pictures for you in exchange for sharing copies with the Preble County Room to add to its family files and local history resources. Each person can bring up to 50 items, with an individual item size limit of 11 inches by 17 inches. USB flash drives will be available for purchase, or you can bring your own. Scan Day is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
