After a long year, we are slowly working our way back to live programming - and what better way to do so than with a musical performance by Keith Lykins?
This outdoor concert will be held in the grassy area behind the Eaton Library on Thursday, July 29th at 6:00pm.
Please bring your own chairs and blankets and prepare for the outdoors by bringing sunscreen, bug spray, etc.
RAIN DATE: Thursday, August 5th at 6:00pm
The Eaton Library book sale is back! We’re doing things a little differently this time. The sale will be one day: Saturday, June 19 (with a rain date of June 26), and will be held outside at the library. Get here early for the best selection of fiction, nonfiction, young adult, children's books, CDs, and DVDs!
There are no set prices. All sales are through donation only. Grab what you want and give as much as you can. All funds raised will support the Eaton Library.
The sale will run from 10am-5pm.
The Preble Co. District Library is happy to announce we will be having in-person Outdoor Summer Storytimes at the Eaton Branch! Storytimes will be held outside on Thursdays at 10:30 am on the following dates, weather permitting*:
Even adults can have fun with scientific experiments! You will have a choice between galaxy playdough or squishy soap (you may take one of each if you wish). These two colorful activities give you an opportunity to learn about different combinations of ingredients, and also make something useful.
This Grab & Go will be available at the Eaton Branch starting August 16.

Nothing says summer like the sound of a wind chime blowing in the breeze (and in Ohio, we have plenty of chances to hear that!) You can make a wind chime out of just about anything you have around the house.
This kit includes all the things you’ll need for your very own basic mini wind chime:
In honor of our summer reading theme (Tales & Tails), we are providing special bags for your furry friends! There will be separate bags for dogs and for cats.
Each bag will contain:
Dog bags will contain materials for making a mini "snuffle mat," and cat bags will contain materials for making a crinkly goldfish toy.
Want to learn something new during quarantine? Stop by the Eaton Library and pick up a new kit each month on the 15th (or the first Monday after the 15th if it falls on a weekend)! Kits may be picked up in person or via curbside service.
This Instructional Grab and Go will focus on crystal jewelry. It’s a scientific experiment that has been around for a while: growing crystals using borax. If you have kids, you may have done this experiment with them at some point.
Stress relief is super important in times like these! This May, we are honoring National Mental Health Month with a stress relief kit. You can make your own stress relief roller ball and/or essential oil diffuser, have some hot tea, and learn some basic facts about essential oils and mental health!
Each kit includes:
