DESCRIPTION:The Eaton Branch of the Preble County District Library will begin registration for the winter session of storytimes. Registration starts on Monday\, December 1\, at 9:00 AM. \nThe programs offered are: \n\nMother Goose Baby & Toddler Storytime is for children ages birth to 3 years on Wednesdays or Thursdays at 10:30 AM. This is a 30-minute class.\nLibrary Mice Preschool Storytime is for children ages 3 years old to kindergarten. This class is available on Wednesday or Thursday at 10:30 AM. This is a 45-minute class.\nFamily Storytime is for families with children ages 0 to 5 years. This class is available on Thursday at 4:45 PM. This is a 45-minute class.\nAfter School Crew is a crafts and activity-based program for children ages 6 to 12. This class is available on Thursday afternoons at 4:45 PM\, and this program runs for 1 hour.\n\nThe winter session will run weekly from January 7 to February 12. \nCall the Eaton Branch at 937-456-4331 to register. \nOur storytimes are formulated around the Every Child Ready to Read initiative\, which focuses on the five early literacy practices of talking\, singing\, reading\, writing\, and playing.

DESCRIPTION:Say Cheese! \nThe West Alexandria Branch offers FREE family portraits on Monday\, December 1\, from 5:30 PM – 7 PM.\nPhoto sessions will be approximately 10 minutes long.\nDigital copies will be emailed the following week. \nPlease sign up for a time slot in advance by calling 937-533-4095. Registration opens in November . \nWHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR PHOTO SESSION:\nPortrait Sessions are scheduled in 10-minute increments. Be sure to remember the specific time slot for which you have registered! If plans change and you cannot make your appointment\, please call the library so the spot may be opened for someone else. \nPlan to arrive early to make the most of your session. You may want a moment before your time begins to take off coats\, fix hair\, or make sure everyone is ready.\nWe aim for these portraits to be as fun and casual as possible! Dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable– whether it’s dress clothes\, holiday attire\, or everyday wear. Feel free to bring props or accessories you want in your photos. Santa hats\, special jewelry\, or even kids’ favorite toys can help personalize your portrait! \nPhotos will be cropped and lightly edited after the session.
