Want to learn something new during quarantine? Stop by the Eaton Library and pick up a new kit each month on the 15th (or the first Monday after the 15th if it falls on a weekend)! Kits may be picked up in person or via curbside service.
This Instructional Grab and Go will focus on crystal jewelry. It’s a scientific experiment that has been around for a while: growing crystals using borax. If you have kids, you may have done this experiment with them at some point.
This activity will be a little different, however: you will be growing borax crystals to make your own jewelry!
This kit includes:
- Pink food coloring
- Eye pins
- Pipe cleaners
You will need to provide:
- A pot or glass jar
- A pencil
NOTE: Please keep the borax away from children; it is not toxic to handle but should NOT be ingested.
Directions for the craft are here.
