Assistive equipment, services and collections are available for individuals with disabilities.
Outreach Services
Home delivery of library materials to Preble County residents who cannot leave their homes, either for long-term or short-term periods, and visit their local branch.
Curbside Pickup
Curbside pickup is available to patrons who are unable to leave their vehicles. Please contact your local branch to arrange pickup.
Talking Books
Free loan of equipment and recorded materials is offered through the State Library of Ohio for the visually and physically impaired. Thousands of books and magazines are available on tape for adults and children. Patrons may borrow Talking Book machines free of charge.
Adaptive Toys
Adaptive toys made especially for children with special needs or “off-the-shelf” toys that are adapted to meet the needs of children with disabilities.
Videophone
The videophone allows the deaf and hard of hearing to easily communicate via videophone-to-videophone or through an interpreter. The videophone is only available at the Preble County Room.
