Educator Card
Educator Card
Educators are entitled to a library card with special borrowing privileges.
Educator Card holders may:
- Have up to 75 items checked out on the card
- Request a teacher collection to enhance your lesson plans with materials relevant to your curriculum. In two weeks, pick up the teacher collection at the library of your choice.
- Have monthly collections delivered to your school (ask your children’s librarian for details)
To be eligible for an Educator Card, you must:
- Teach at a public or private school, daycare, Head Start or Sunday School; or be a homeschool educator.
- Have a personal library card (required), and your card must be in good standing.
- Visit your local PCDL Branch in person to receive your Educator Card.
Educator Card Details:
- You must have your Educator Card to borrow materials.
- Your first Educator Card is FREE, and a replacement card is $1.
- You can borrow up to 75 items.
- Misuse of the Educator Card will result in the removal of this privilege.
Loan Periods and Renewals:
Books and DVDs: 6 weeks
Renewals: One (1) time for three (3) extra weeks
- Because of limited resources, popular materials are limited to the expected due date. Your Educator Card is for materials on the subject taught during your class time. Please use your personal library card for pleasure reading that does not directly involve educating your child. Your cooperation helps our library keep materials equally available to all our children.
- Educator cardholders will be responsible for never-returned items. Items are deemed never-returned at 30 days overdue.
