Printing, Scanning, Faxing, and Laminating

Laminating services are only available at the Eaton Branch and Administration Office.
The KIC Click is a high-speed, face-up book capture system, allowing users to scan nearly 20 pages per minute and save them digitally for email or flash drive.
KIC Click scanners are available at no cost at our Eaton, New Paris, West Alexandria Branches, and the Preble County Room.
Technology
All of our branches offer free WiFi. Printers, copiers, and scanners are also available.
Our Reference Librarian helps you navigate in the digital world. Whether you need to sharpen your basic computer skills, learn how to use a new mobile device or try your hand in the social media world—they will build your skills so you feel more confident. They cover computer skills, the internet, apps for mobile devices, social media, virtual meetings, laptops, smartphones, tablets, e-readers and other software.

Meeting Room Spaces
Preble County District Library offers meeting rooms at the Eaton and Eldorado Branches.
Meeting rooms are intended to further the library’s mission by facilitating the exchange of diverse information and ideas.
Reservations:
Rooms must be requested in advance by calling or visiting the library where you’d like to hold your meeting. You may only schedule your meeting to be held when the room is not needed for library-related activities.
Use of Meeting Rooms:
Library meeting rooms are available to groups with non-profit, civic, cultural, or educational purposes.
You may not use library meeting rooms for social activities, private parties, commercial purposes, gatherings that advertise a product or service, or political campaign meetings.
You may not imply library sponsorship of your group’s activities when publicizing your event.

Contact the Preble County Room for details or to set up an appointment to digitize your memories.
Patrons are encouraged to bring a blank CD or flash drive or purchase one for a small fee. Patrons must be present for any VHS or cassette digitization.
Notary Services
Simple documents that do not require special expertise, including:
- Auto titles that list buyer’s name and address
- Simple affidavits, for instance, the BMV’s Fifty Hour Affidavit
- Medical release forms
- Insurance acknowledgments
- Documents in languages other than English
- Children’s signatures or fingerprints
- Real estate transactions
Deeds - I-9 forms (but can serve as your company’s authorized agent and act as a witness)
- Corporate or business documents – the library’s notary services are for individuals only
- Documents that require an electronic signature
- Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID.
- Bring all unsigned documents to be notarized. Documents must be signed in the presence of the notary.
- Complete all information above the signature line prior to signature notarization.
- Bring your own witness(es) if needed.
- Present documents in plenty of time before closing.
- Limit notary requests to no more than 5 signatures per patron, per day.
Our notary reserves the right at their discretion to refuse a request that does not satisfy identification or document requirements, exceeds the intention of the services we offer, or prevents staff from fulfilling the primary mission of the library.
